Château de Montfort

Overlooking the Dordogne River from the top of its cliff, the 9th-century Château de Monfort dominates the entire hamlet.
Although it is privately owned and not open to visitors, a hot air balloon ride over its ramparts will allow you to admire the superb landscape, where you can take in the fairy-tale castle perched on its rocky base overlooking the river and the Cingle de Montfort, as well as its beautiful wooded valleys.
